Meet the CPL Team in Cork:

Eric Burke – Operations Manager

A graduate from UCC, Eric holds a BA in Economics & Computer Science. Eric has over 17 years experience of managing recruitment solutions across many industry sectors. Having worked as HR Manager and Recruitment Manager previously with large Multinational organisations Eric joined the CPL Group in 2007. He has considerable experience in managing various different Managed Staffing solutions for a number of key clients of the organisation.

Donal Flanagan – Principal Team Lead

Donal has been working with Cpl for over 9 years and is currently Principal Recruitment Consultant with CPL in Cork. Donal specializes in hiring technical staff in particular in the areas of manufacturing engineering,  quality assurance engineering, production management and supply chain management for multinational ICT, Pharmaceutical and Medical Device industries in Cork and greater Munster area. Donal is renowned in the industry for an honest, direct and hands-on approach to finding suitable positions for his candidates including thorough preparation and feedback at every stage in the recruitment process.

Donal Moynihan – Principal  ICT Recruiter

A graduate of CIT in 1996, he has over 7+yrs recruitment experience across all areas of the ICT sector, as well as 5 years industry experience working with Microsoft in Engineering and Vendor Management roles. Donal is currently responsible for Account Management and the delivery of key projects for clients such as EMC, IBM & VCE.

Killian O’Leary – Recruitment Consultant

Killian is a highly motivated, strategic-thinking IT Recruiter. He has been working in Recruitment for over a year. He is a graduate of University College Cork and has previously had a successful career in Business Banking; spending 4 years managing his own portfolio of High Net Worth Business Banking clients whilst at Ulster Bank in Cork. Previous to this, Killian spent 4 years as an Assistant Banking Manager in AIB in London.

Emer O’Connell – Recruitment Manager

With over 10 year’s recruitment experience, Emer has recruited across a number of areas within CPL from Finance to Operations. She spent 5 years with Careers Register in Dublin – CPL’s specialist financial recruitment division –as an accountant headhunter working with large international clients. She now recruits for Cork based multinationals in the areas of finance, accountancy, operations and IT.

Rory Walsh – Senior Recruitment Consultant

Rory graduated with a B.Sc in Chemistry in 2004 from University College Cork. He has 6 years of scientific recruitment experience primarily in the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Medical Device and food Industries in Munster where he works with a range of organisations from large global pharmaceutical manufacturers through to local contract laboratories. Rory delivers a first class technical and professional recruitment service in both temporary and permanent recruitment from candidates ranging in experience from entry level to director.

Gavin Ryan – Recruitment Consultant

Gavin Ryan graduated in 2011 with an Honours degree in Business Studies, majoring in Management. An enthusiastic and motivated individual, Gavin recruits in the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology and Medical Devices industries. Working with large multinationals as well as local contract laboratories, he recruits for both permanent and temporary positions.

Richard Campbell – Client Service Delivery Manager

Chartered Member of CIPD, Richard is an experienced and successful Client Service Delivery Manager. Prior to working with CPL, Richard managed Award Winning contact centers for Xomax in Dublin and The Merchants Group and RCI in Cork. Richard currently is our HR and Service Delivery Manager, based on-site with our largest client in Ovens, Co. Cork. Within this role he has full HR responsibility for more than 350 Permanent and Temporary Staff. Operationally he works directly with our client to ensure operational excellence, drive productivity and support the client business needs. Richard also supports an ‘in-sourced’ contact centre for another one of our clients in Cork, where all staff and all decisions relating to the service provided are fully managed by CPL Group. Richard has been with CPL for 5 years.

Yvonne Walsh – HR Representative

Yvonne has a Higher Diploma in Personnel Management and is also a trained VDU Assessor and Manual Handling Instructor. Yvonne has been with CPL since 2007 working in a variety of roles. She currently works in a HR support capacity based on-site with one of our clients. Yvonne supports a team of 130 staff and an additional temporary workforce of up to 200 at peak times, where she carries out duties such as induction and recruitment through to payroll administration and developing employee policies and procedures. Yvonne is part of a fully functioning HR office on site at all times to deal with both employee and client issues. 

Laura Purcell – HR Consultant

Laura graduated with a Bachelor of Business Studies in 2003 and completed a Masters of Business by Research in 2005 which resulted in published articles. She has worked in a number of public sector bodies in the areas of strategy, human resources and training and development. She is MCIPD qualified and recently graduated with an Advanced Diploma in Executive Leadership from UCD Michael Smurfit Business School. She joined Flexsource (part of the CPL Group) in August 2011, where she is a HR Consultant/Account Manager.

Tina Coy – Client Service Delivery Manager

Tina is a qualified ACCA Accountant with a wealth of senior financial experience as a result of previous positions as a management accountant with 2 multinationals. Tina has also in excess of twenty years’ experience within the recruitment industry where she had responsibility for client relationship management and developing the company’s business strategy within the Dublin and Cork markets. She is currently working as On-Site Manager on a high volume contract in CPL Cork. Specialties include: Recruitment, Accountancy, Training, Business Development, Client Relationship Management & Project Management experience.

Jo-Anne Tickner – Project Recruiter

Jo-Anne graduated from UCC with a BA in History and Sociology in 2008. Jo-Anne joined CPL just over a year ago in January 2011 as a Recruitment Administrator for the cork office. Since then Jo-Anne has moved on to recruit for a high volume project in Cork where she is responsible for recruiting both multilingual and technical support agents. She also works on all temporary recruitment requirements for our Cork clients.
