Last month Cpl Learning & Development publicly announced their involvement in the government’s new nationwide FREE training initiative called the Momentum Project. This ground breaking initiative aims to provide 6,500 job seekers with the necessary skills to re-enter the workforce. All training courses delivered by Cpl Learning and Development through the ‘Momentum’ project are completely FREE of charge and will provide participants with training in the Food and Healthcare industries, which are certified.
The FREE training courses will run for a period of up to 6 months, followed by a structured work placement of up to 3 months. Participants in the scheme will also be entitled to retain their Social Welfare benefits as per their entitlements for the duration of the course. The programmes listed for Healthcare Support, Food Process Technicians and Food Handlers have been developed in close collaboration with industry.
These programs deliver the following benefits:
- Accredited training (appropriate modules are FETAC accredited)
- Self-care and personal development are core to our programmes, we recognise and will work with you to overcome the challenges you have faced in unemployment and we will guide you in your journey to employment Each programme involves a structured work placement where the employer understands what is expected of you and also of them for the duration of placement
- It is our goal to ultimately find you employment
- You will retain your job seekers benefits as per you entitlements

Courses will take place across the country, commencing in January and February.
