Customer Support / Call Centre Salary Guide 2012
In the Call Centre and Customer Service sector, most companies are continuing to recruit in high volume and competition is tough for multilingual candidates. German is still the most sought after language skill set and candidates are motivated by job security and additional benefits as part of their salary packages. Nordic languages are also in strong demand but in both cases, relocation costs do however play a large factor in this industry.
While the IT Customer Support Sector is still strong, more demand is being felt in the area of sales and customer support particularly in the gaming industry. One of the biggest factors affecting this industry however, is the high employee turnover typically seen in these types of roles - a typical call centre employee will stay in the same job for 12 to 24 months.
