ICT (Permanent & Contract)

A recent global competitiveness report ranks Ireland as the top destination in the world by quality and value of investments. With a growing multinational technology presence in Ireland and a vibrant and innovative indigenous software sector, the future for the industry is bright.

Recent news however, highlights that there is a skills shortage in the ICT sector. As a result, an ICT Action plan has been launched as a joint effort between the ICT Ireland, the American Chamber of Commerce, Engineers Ireland and the Dept of Education. Demand for skilled employees who can install, customize and adapt IT systems to individual business needs is particularly high.

The market for contact and permanent staff is still soaring with a slightly higher proportion of contract roles from this time last year.
