Sales Salary Guide 2012
The sales sector is growing within the IT industry as large scale organisations seek out solutions sales executives. There is also a strong demand for executives with particular skills as nearly all of the multinational software companies are looking for sales teams with fluency in German, Dutch and Nordic languages.
Overall, we are seeing a decline in the number of field sales roles but a comparable increase in the number of office based roles. Conversely, the FMCG market is slowly starting to show some green shoots with companies starting to recruit for junior field sales roles although demand for senior sales roles within this sector is still quite low.
Another positive sign of growth is in the New Media / Online sector as a number of companies begin to recruit for office based account managers and the Telecoms industry remains steady with companies replacing roles rather than recruiting for newly created positions.
