Kate Cowhig International Recruitment in partnership with its client are seeking a Director, Clinical Nursing for their premier hospital in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The hospital has a 531-bed capacity located in the Western Region of Saudi Arabia. It includes the new Oncology Center, which is the primary oncology research and treatment center in Saudi Arabia. The hospital also has a satellite 60-bed Transitional Care Unit. Other services provided are Medical, Surgical, Obstetrics, Gynecology, Labor and Delivery, Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for Adult, Paediatric and Neonatal services, Coronary Care Unit (CCU), Emergency Room, Operating Rooms, VIP Wards, Day Center to include Ambulatory Surgery, and several Primary Health Care clnics spread over the Western Region.

EDUCATION
ESSENTIAL
• Registered Nurse with a current Nursing license
• Bachelors Degree (Western standard)
• Masters Degree in Nursing! Management (Western Standard)
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
ESSENTIAL
• Minimum eight (8) years clinical nursing experience which includes five (5) years of progressive administrative positions, and two (2) years in comparable position
• Computer Skills
• English Language Skills
• Arabic Language Skills: Beneficial
JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible to: Associate Executive Director, Nursing Services
Basic Function :
Within the mission, vision and values of the hospital and the Division of Nursing Services and in collaboration with other hospital departments, assumes 24-hour accountability in providing a leadership role in the overall coordination for a group of nursing units/services.
Principle Duties:
Clinical Practice:
• Professional and high standard nursing practice and patient care within established policies and procedures.
• Compliant with hospital infection control and safety protocols.
• Maintains high visibility in clinical areas.
Administration
• Recruitment, education, training, evaluation and development, management of staff, preparation and delegation of work schedules and work flow.
• Reviews, plans, manages and monitors the area budget.
• Develops, modifies and ensures implementation of Policies and Procedures.
• Participates in Committees and work groups as required.
• Actively participates in planning and development of new and expanded programs.
• Develops and implements directorate area strategic plans.
• Maintains high visibility.
• Maintains an open door communication policy for area staff.
• Functions as a mediator and resource person across departmental lines.
• Participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of the strategic plan for the Division of Nursing.
• Maintains all records pertaining to the operation of the area of assignment and generates reports as required.
Education & Research:
• Facilitates the development, implementation and evaluation of educational activities to meet the identified needs of managers, nursing and support personnel.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
