In partnership with my client, a multinational solutions company, I have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Accountant.  The role is initally a 6 month contract with a salary of €75,000, depending on experience.

The Finance Project Manager will lead the delivery of a systems migration project within agreed timescales and resources.  He or she will work directly with cross functional team in Ireland and will be responsible to the Steering committee for the delivery of the project and performance of cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

- Manage delivery of the key project streams - AS400 decommission, Migration reconciliations, and Customer Strategy
- Produce a Finance Project Plan specifying goals, detailed project phases, timescales and resource implications for above
- Ensure all stakeholders understand project process and operating rhythm and build effective working relationships
- Communicate with and monitor project & finance tams ensuring all necessary resources are available for project implementation
- Use structured project management methods to manage the project in detail, carry out regular reviews and drive progress
- Ensure key stakeholders are kept informed and up-to-date with all relevant project developments or issues. Ensure that key stakeholders sign off all significant changes
- Ensure the business has planned for execution of project and resources and infrastructure are all in place.
- Develop appropriate contingency plans to cope with any delays
- Ensure documentation in place to satisfy demands of Audit and HQ requirements
- Other adhoc finance projects as specified

Key Skills and Experience:

- Graduate calibre & proven business experience
- Project management experience essential
- Prior experience of system migrations
- Understanding of finance reconciliation process
- Strong cross-functional experience either in-house or externally in a financial services environment
- Strong understanding of Operations, Systems, Finance and Risk issues
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Problem resolution
- Strong presentation, negotiation & communication skills in a Client facing environment
