Power Station Engineer Job in Co. Antrim

The Client:
Our award winning client is at the forefront of the future of renewable energy. They have an exciting opportunity for a suitably experienced Engineer for their newly commissioned renewable CHP plant

Job Role:

• Pro-active maintenance and monitoring of high technology engine driven plant  to achieve high availability with high technology plant and equipment
• Responsible for accurately maintaining station and operating logs in a timely manner
• To perform routine maintenance, inspections, testing and adjustments to plant items to ensure efficient production, environmental and safety compliance
• To ensure full awareness of the technical condition of the asset and is proactive in ensuring that any issues that may affect the HS&E, production capability and availability are properly notified and acted upon
• 40 hours per week flexible evening and weekend work will be required

Experience and skill set required:

• Previous experience and knowledge of engine driven power generation
• Competent to perform the duties necessary to support the operational aspects of power generation or a similar process industry
• To demonstrate good IT skills preferably with data acquisition system experiences
• Whilst on duty the jobholder will often be working alone and be responsible for taking initiatives and making decisions in safely operating the plant to achieve the often demanding production targets within environmental limits for the station. The role therefore requires a person who is capable energetic and adaptable
