R&D Project Team Member
In partnership with its client, Kenny-Whelan is currently seeking a R&D Project Team Member (R&D PTM)
to work for their client in the Co. Galway area.
Job Responsibilities:
The R&D PTM is responsible for:
· Managing R&D Project team members and organisation
· R&D elements of Project scope, timing, risk & quality
· Management of R&D Sub Suppliers
· Project investments and development costs
· Estimation of R&D resource needs and development workload
· Resolution of conflicts of interests
· Is customer facing regarding R&D topics
· Work with project management to prepare and organise project planning for cross functional input and scheduling.
· Manage cross functional R&D input to deliver against agreed project milestones.
· Manage customer expectations regarding the product
· Daily project team interfacing and communication
· Identifying cross-project issues and working with R&D technical leads and management to identify and implement solutions
· Manage commercial and technical relations with external resources participating in project activity
· Support Product Marketing and Business Development activities as required
· Ensuring the monthly balancing of assigned R&D resources against needs
· Lead and participate at R&D design reviews, providing risk status and issues
Skills, Abilities and Education
· An Engineering Degree in a relevant area e.g. Mechanical/Electronics engineering
· Minimum 8 years experience in an Engineering / Project Management role
· Experience in the automotive industry will be an advantage
· Proven ability to deliver technical projects on time and within budget
· Good team player with proven leadership ability
· Excellent people management skills
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· Confident, articulate, self motivated, determined, energetic
· Experience with vision products an advantage.
