Following 16 successful years based in Belfast, Liberty IT is expanding their operation with the opening of a branch in Blanchardstown, Dublin, in 2014. Cpl is delighted to be the recruitment partner for this expansion and our specialist consultants will be managing the hiring for the new branch.

Software Engineer (Java)
Role Purpose & Context
As a Software Engineer at Liberty IT you will join our innovative and technically challenging project teams, using Java as your primary language. You will work alongside our clients at our parent company, Liberty Mutual to analyze and translate business requirements into technical designs.
We will provide you with training support to equip you with the skills to make a real contribution to the success of the company.
You will be working on a Business driven, large scale, enterprise platform utilizing latest technologies e.g. IBM SOA, Java EE and modern Web practices, within a highly collaborative and technically challenging development environment.
Through training and support you would have the following key responsibilities:
•Advanced programming tasks using Java as your primary language
•Be involved in the complete software development life cycle including; requirements analysis, design, construction and testing
•Deliver allocated project tasks, to quality and on time
•Actively participate on project teams
•Actively work independently within a team environment whilst aligning day-to-day activities with the project goals
•Build collaborative customer relationships
•Communicate information clearly and concisely, sharing an appropriate level of detail and using the appropriate communication methods
•Mentor and coach junior members of the company
•Continuously develop your personal and professional skills and knowledge

Required Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience
•Third level IT related degree
•Minimum of 2 years postgraduate relevant commercial work experience
•Expertise in Java
•Ability to create and translate complex technical specifications into working code with consideration of the end user
•A team player who enjoys working with others to solve complex problems and share knowledge
•Strong written and oral communication skills
•Right to live and work in ROI
