Since establishing their Irish operations in 1969, Pfizer has grown to be both the largest investor & employer in Ireland’s pharmaceutical sector. Pfizer now employs over 3,300 people across their 7 Irish sites in Dublin, Kildare, & Cork, and its operations here help support a further 10,700 jobs.
Pfizer has invested $330 million into their sites since 2013, and recently announced the creation of 130 new jobs. These jobs will be concentrated in three main sites: the Grange Castle Biotech Facility in Dublin, and the Little Island & Ringaskiddy plants in Cork.
Pfizer has two API plants located in Cork: one in Ringaskiddy, where Pfizer first established in 1969, and one in Little Island that was built in the early 1980s. The Cork API sites are Pfizer global supply’s preferred scale up / manufacturing launch sites for all new small molecules, and have a significant proven track record for providing API technological scale up and manufacturing solutions.
The Pfizer Grange Castle Biotech facility situated in West Dublin is one of the largest integrated biopharmaceutical plants in the world. The facility is undergoing an exciting period of growth with new product introductions and increased volume. As a result, they are hiring for Engineering, QC Analysts, and Manufacturing Process Technicians.
The facility in Newbridge has been in operation since1992. It is an integral part of Pfizer’s global solid oral dose network; manufacturing tablets and capsules for world markets using highly complex processes.
Both Global Financial Solutions & The Pfizer Treasury Centre are located in Ringsend, in Dublin City. The GFS handles all financial services for Pfizer in Europe, while the treasury in Dublin is Pfizer's global treasury centre for areas outside the US.
