Enterprise Risk Specialist

Role Description

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Pillar 3 disclosure process, including liaising with the relevant departments, proactively monitoring the regulations that will affect the disclosure requirements and ensuring adequate review and approval governance over the process and disclosures.
  • Assist in the preparation of the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP), including liaising with the relevant departments, proactively monitoring the regulations that will affect requirements and ensuring adequate review and approval governance over the process.
  • Co-ordinate the review of policies / procedures to ensure they are updated and approved at the appropriate Management level.  Where new legislative requirements have been established, co-ordinate the implementation of these into the relevant procedures and processes.
    • Assess the impact of new legislation and then initiation of a process to make any required changes to processes, procedures and documentation.
  • Manage the Enterprise Risk and Regulatory department advices with the Bank’s New and Active Products Process (NAPP).
  • Co-ordinate the risk training curriculum.
  • Assist in the production of monthly and quarterly Risk Committee papers; including Board Risk Committee.
  • Assist in the annual Group Recovery Planning process.
  • Manage the Corporate Documentation framework.

Knowledge, Education & Experience:

  • 7+ years of relevant risk /compliance / audit / regulatory experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of banking process and regulatory environment.
  • Strong MS Office skills.
  • Strong understanding of key regulatory requirements and their impact on documentation, Pillar 3 disclosures and the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP).
  • Accountancy or equivalent business qualification would be an advantage.
  • Risk experience within the financial services sector would be an advantage.
