Client Services - Custody

Role Description

The role involves extensive contact with the Frankfurt (FFT) Custody business stakeholders, other operational teams across the globe as well as external clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining strong internal relationships with Business and Global Operations teams
  • Ensure that the Frankfurt Custody Operations environment is run in compliance with regulatory bodies
  • Chairing team meetings, driving the team to achieving personal and collective targets
  • Being escalation point for all key stakeholders and direct reports
  • To act as support to department and product heads, stepping up when circumstances dictate
  • Prompt processing of queries received via email, CSS (query processing tool), fax, SWIFT, and the telephone. Documentation of client communication
  • Investigation of unsettled trades, and pro-active client-specific transmission of information to the client
  • Processing instructions and queries relating to capital measures for clients and supervision of clients’ holding
  • Fostering strong relationships with external clients and associated teams

Skills Required:

  • Strong Operations management experience with exposure to the globes trading markets
  • Good understanding of securities lending processes and/or strong knowledge of settlements and/or trade support functions
  • A methodical approach with good numeric and problem solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills
  • An excellent understanding and appreciation of Operational Risk
