Windows System Administrator

 

What will you do?

First Data is looking for a Windows System Administrator who will join the IT team in providing technical solutions and support to our business. The ideal candidate has to be ambitious, fast learner and good trouble-shooter with at least three years’ experience in the relevant area. Experience in the payment sector is a distinct advantage. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Windows server and desktop support.
  • Windows 2008/2012 Servers and Windows 7, patching and upgrades.
  • Learn and provide support on key windows based applications running on Firs Data MS server/clients.
  • McaFee AV Administration, patching & upgrades.
  • Mobile phones/Good support and upgrades.
  • Provide front line service desk support on a rotational basis during business hours.
  • Execute pipeline of work and agree priorities with key stakeholders.
  • Ensure all deliveries meet First Data security and policy guidelines and standards, PCI/DSS and SSAE16 requirements.
  • Ensure service is maintained and all SLAs are met.
  • Provide regular updates to Management including metrics to demonstrate performance of systems.
  • Work closely with teams including Networks, Professional Services, IT Development and Quality Assurance to ensure timely and quality delivery of technical solutions.
  • Work with the broader First Data teams globally on worldwide projects.

Who we are looking for?

  • Strong skills in Windows Server Technologies (2012/2008), Windows 7 Client and other Microsoft technologies like MS Office, WSUS, Active Directory, Group Policies, IIS,
  • Knowledge of networking principles and applications / technologies (e.g., TCP / UDP protocols, DNS, DHCP)
  • Experience in Windows OS build for Hardware and Virtualized platforms
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMWare
  • Experience of engineering solutions around Dell/HP Server Hardware Platforms in an enterprise environment
  • Experience in managing to strict SLAs
  • Solution driven with ability to execute quickly
  • Strong customer focus ethos
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Accuracy / Attention to Detail
