Clerical officer Grade 3 Medical Secretary

Role Description

The role covers all aspects of clerical and administrative work to ensure the effective running of the Department.

The clerical officer is required to have sufficient knowledge of the relevant procedures and practices to perform the role efficiently and ensure the standards set are maintained.


Medical Secretary Experience is essential.

Duties Include:

Dealing and managing existing and new memberships

Office filing , updating Patient database , Audio typing (medical terminology essential) and Retrieving patient charts

Dealing with general phone calls email queries and scheduling appointments .

General office support in the event of absence of existing staff

Works well as part of a very busy team in a fast paced environment.

Excellent attention to detail.

Excellent Typing Skills

Other ad-hoc duties as required.

Adhere to confidentiality clause.

Manual Handling & Garda Vetted is a requirement in your application
