We are currently seeking an experienced Collections Executive to join our busy Shared Service team based in Dublin 4.

Working as part of the Credit & Collections team you will report to the Credit & Collections Manager.  You will manage collections for many Cpl clients, work alongside other Collections Executives (Approx. 200-250 accounts each) and manage a high level of outgoing calls.

Please note this is initally a 6 month contract.

Key activities

  • Maintaining collections performance within individual/team KPI’s each month
  • Ensuring that the collections processes are adhered to and used on every account, to maximise collections performance
  • Strict enforcement of payment terms, with the ability to address any payment delays in a systematic way to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Continuous improvement of collections performance through regular ledger reviews with Credit Manager.
  • Ensuring invoicing related queries are dealt with in a timely manner by the Pay & Bill team, to minimise impact on collections/overdue.
  • Escalating issues to the Credit Manager after the collections process has been followed, to come up with an appropriate plan of action.
  • Compiling regular updates on the collections performance of your accounts for review by the collections manager.

You will have

  • Minimum of 1-2 years’ collections experience, ideally in a business to business environment
  • A Credit Control/Collections related qualification or a desire to obtain one soon
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational & time management skills
  • Ability to facilitate problem solving of day-to-day issues
  • A team player with an open and flexible work-style and an ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Target driven with the ability to respond to challenges in an innovative and persistent manner
  • Ability to strive for continuous improvement driving efficiencies, whilst delivering high levels of customer satisfaction, loyalty and retention of clients
  • A high desire to undergo continues professional development
  • Ability to recognise potential risks to the Collections team targets that should be escalated
