FP&A International Leader

Role Description

Excellent opportunity just in, amazing role with super potential to grow within one of the busiest sectors in Irealnd at the moment.  My client has an urgent requirement for an FP&A Intentional Lead.  

Role Description

  • The FP&A Lead will directly support the VP Finance, who has ultimate accountability for the financials of the International Operations, which covers markets in Europe, Africa, Middle East, Canada, Latin America and Asia Pacific
  • Responsible for the preparation and consolidation of the Op Plan & forecast plans
  • Manage the preparation of consolidated financial statements and other related monthly reports for International Ops Leadership and for the Corporate
  • Facilitates monthly financial reviews with the markets to analyze operating results and forecasts for adherence to operating plans
  • Managing the Finance Center of Excellence to ensure deliverables to the international markets are done in a timely manner and quality support is provided to the markets

 

Responsibilities:

  • Proactive delivery on all financial timelines & reporting requirements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP, local/statutory accounting standards, Zoetis policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Provides leadership for monthly/quarterly close, monthly reviews with finance team, and corporate requests for data to fulfill external reporting requirements.
  • Involve in the preparation of the quarterly earnings process for the international markets and corporate.
  • Preparing the budget and forecast for International Operations.
  • Proactive analysis and interpretation of business performance in explaining monthly revenue and expense variances to plan and forecast.
  • Prepares, where appropriate financial reporting for International Operations Leadership and provide ongoing analysis of risks and opportunities, as well as ad-hoc analysis.
  • Understands, interprets and communicates complex financial issues and processes.
  • Effectively and proactively communicating with the leaders across the business as well as with colleagues in Corporate Finance and Controllers.
  • Working very closely with the finance center of excellence (CoE) to cover  FP&A deliverables for International Ops.
  • Ensures adequate systems and procedures are in place to provide controls, safeguarding of assets and the efficient execution of financial activities.
  • Coordination with Controllers on corporate accounting & compliance / SOX related matters representing International Operations.
  • Responsible for assisting with special projects as needed included business integrations, process improvements, etc.
  • Managing and developing direct reports.

 

Qualifications (Training, Education & Prior Experience):

Education

  • University degree in appropriate discipline (i.e. accounting and/or, finance)
  • Professional accounting designation or equivalent

 

Experience

  • +10 years post qualification experience (hands-on) in Finance with understanding of technical accounting
  • Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
  • People Manager

 

Skills

  • Strong analytical background with strategic thinking capabilities and attention to detail
  • Solid understanding of accounting, tax, treasury, internal controls, financial systems and processes
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management both verbally and in writing
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy, diverse environment
  • Ability to multi-task, consistently meeting deadlines on multiple projects and activities
  • Work effectively in a team environment and in building collaborative relationships with peers and with other stakeholders
  • Strong abilities to work under tight deadlines
  • Strong ability to organize, prioritize tasks and good knowledge in time management.
