Role Description

The Client

Analytics Data Scientists will be our experts who will have a passion for developing in-depth knowledge of clients' data challenges. 


The Role

  • Be based in and work in our Belfast studio with the potential requirement to work on client site occasionally.
  • Lead the design of analytical solutions from initial data assessment to development and deployment of models
  • Focus on exceeding client expectations and delivering against our continuous improvement goals, taking a client problem and turning it into a technical solution.
  • Provide technical oversight for other team members, providing mentoring and guidance on technologies and methodologies.
  • Participate in the full service lifecycle, from design to sales, through to setup and delivery.
  • Have the opportunity to lead and directly shape client relationships, with extensive client interaction

The Person


  • At least 2 year’s experience in one or more of the following functional areas:
  • Data mining or predictive analytics solutions ;
  • Statistical or econometrics research;
  • Data management solutions especially with focus on data quality;
  • Data architecture and modelling;
  • Mathematical optimisation;
  • Data Visualisation
  • Ability to effectively prioritise, estimate, plan and delegate workload to meet deadlines
  • Undertake complex projects to analyse large amounts of data in order to develop insights, predictions and recommendations.
  • Strong skills in data analysis of business processes and KPIs
  • Be a strong team player.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills
  • A good graduate degree (1st or Upper Second) or equivalent experience
  • The right to live and work in the UK

 Preferred Skills

  • Specific industry knowledge in one of the following sectors:
  • Healthcare
  • Education
  • Digital/Social Media
  • Utilities
  • Experience developing analytics solutions using SPSS, SAS, STATA, Statistica etc.
  • Experience in automation of data mining using tools such as: SPSS Modeler, Microsoft Analysis Services, SAS Enterprise Minder, Rapid Miner etc.
  • Experience with data visualisation software such as Tableau, QlikView, SAP Visual Intelligence, SAS Visual Analytics
  • Understanding of the principles of relational DB design and OLAP
  • Experience with big-data solutions will be an advantage
  • Strong SQL skills (data retrieval)
  • Experience with programming languages such as R or MATA will be an advantage
