Operations Analyst
Role Description
My client an independent Energy Services Company are seeking to hire an Operations Analyst for their site in Dublin.
The successful Operations Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, analysing and reporting on the performance, availability and efficiency of the company’s renewables fleet.
Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Ensure all O&M activities are compliant with the company’s Health & Safety regulations.
- Monitor and analyse the performance of the renewables fleet.
- Prepare reports on the key metrics such as availability, generation and efficiency of plant.
- Report on costs due to outages/curtailments.
- Design and update power curve efficiency analysis.
- Coordinate site inspections, outages and repairs with the Renewables Operations Engineer.
- Manage upgrades and improvements with the Scada system and provide training to O&M team members as required.
- Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Support optimisation of lifetime O&M and asset management planning.
- Liaise with contractors and service providers, ensuring all planned work is carried out as scheduled.
- Prepare technical reports for management meetings and external stakeholders.
- Support operational activities on site, and cover the role of Renewables Operations Engineer as required.
- Make sure the O&M team is up to date with trends and new technologies in the Renewables industry.
- Ad hoc projects as assigned in the O&M area.
To be considered for this position you will have:
- Previous experience in analysing performance of renewable assets.
- Previous experience of PLC Programming, SCADA systems and CMMS or Asset management system such as Maximo
- Excellent computer & skills
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Good operational and technical knowledge of wind turbines (multi-platform, multi OEM).
- Experience in in a role focused on safety and risk management
- Strong reporting and documentation skills
- Previous experience of drafting and monitoring work practices and procedures.
Ideally you will have:
- Third level degree in the field of engineering, science, statistics or similar.
- Extensive knowledge or experience working in the renewables field.
- Experience of conducting Grid Code Testing Competences
