Contracts Manager (QS Background) 

£50,000 - £60,000 + Benefits.

Cpl are delighted to be working with a highly reputable construction company to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager for project's based in London & Belfast. 

The Contracts: 

1. QS & Contracts Management for an 18-month D&B Residential project in London. This traditional build comprises of 27 units; 5 houses and 22 apartments. 

2. Contracts Management role only for social housing scheme at New Lodge Belfast PH2 58 dwellings.

The Job: 

  • Liaising closely with the client and the design team 
  • Reporting to the Director you will have commercial responsibility for the project and future projects. 
  • Prepare, compile, and send out tender information and chase up competitive quotes obtained from sub-contractors and suppliers post contract. 
  • Subcontractor appointment documentation including RAMS, Formal Agreement, CSR, Plant Certs & Insurances, subcontractor Tax information etc. 
  • Put Budgets on Sage job costings & Prepare reports to show subcontractor actual costs against original budget & estimated subcontractor final account. 
  • Carry out value engineering exercises and provide comparisons for alternative methods of construction for review of potential cost savings by senior QS. 
  • Review construction drawings, reports and information against original ITT documents to additions/variations to contract. 

The Requirements: 

  • Construction related degree 
  • 10+ Years experience in a QS Position / Contracts Management 
  • Project Management / Contracts Management experience 
  • Experience on full site Auto Cad & civil cad beneficial 
  • Ability to manage subcontractors & assist the Site Manager 
  • Experience of overseeing quality control & safety on site 
  • Experience of ensuring that all regulations are adhered to 
  • Excellent communication skills
