Test Analyst - €35-40K - Learn Automation

Role Description

An opportunity has arisen for a permanent role with a global leader in the payments industry for a Test Analyst with experience in the financial sector. There will be the opportunity to learn test automation and to work across various projects, teams and sets of stakeholders, getting exposure to various technoloiges in the process.

The role:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document test activities so bugs can be reported to Developers and ensure that retesting can take place to confirm that problems encountered have been resolved
  • Work in accordance with testing standards developed in-house and contribute to continuous improvement in testing standards and procedures
  • Support business users by the recreation and analyse of problems found in systems and managing the resolution of issues
  • Develop and agree test plans
  • Writing test cases, which support the test plan and identify specifically what is being tested
  • Carrying out tests as specified in the test case documentation
  • Documenting test results
  • Logging issues on an issue tracking system, reporting the issue to the developers and following it up to ensure that corrective action is taken.
  • Re-testing bugs to confirm that they have been corrected and updating the issue tracking system
  • Gain knowledge of the credit card acquiring business and a competence with company systems to enable the support of other groups within the organisation
  • Collaborate with other team members and management to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the unit.

Skills; experience and qualifications:

  • Previous experience of working in a QA testing environment
  • Ideally a graduate in a business / banking / computing discipline
  • Previous experience of working in the financial / banking sector
  • High standard of numeracy and quality focused with attention to detail
  • Good standard of communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to schedule tasks to manage time and priorities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team
