Operational Planner Job in Co. Antrim

In partnership with our client, CPL is currently seeking an Operational Planner for a manufacturing company in Co. Antrim

The Operational Planner will be responsible for liaising between Supply Chain Planning, Manufacturing, NPI and Order Fulfilment departments to develop an operations schedule and release Orders to manufacture. This requires balancing production lines by taking into consideration, production capacity and relevant inventory targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate schedule for a 2 weeks planning horizon and validate schedule with materials and manufacturing be it product family or manufacturing lines.
  • Monitor status of Orders from Release to Complete to ensure timely completion.
  • Investigate any significant variances where Production Order completion is significantly less to that which was released.
  • Coordinate with materials to ensure 100% availability prior to release into Manufacturing.
  • Work with Supply Chain Planning to validate schedule, report back on any non-conformance to the plans.
  • Support NPI activities facilitation production slots to support sample builds to ensure volume/production readiness.
  • Support Ad-hoc projects related to ERP, Planning or Manufacturing Process

Requirements

Essential Criteria:

  • Third Level Qualification in a related field
  • Experience in an ERP/MRP system structured for a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to create and review planning reports
  • Good interpersonal skills to work with other functions
  • Analytical ability to work with data and system parameters and data set-up
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite, with primary focus on Excel
  • Be able to communicate in a regular and timely manner

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience of Oracle ERP would be an advantage
