Role Description

Graduate Placement (Supporting Programme Management Office)

This is an excellent opportunity to gain broad business experience within a busy project / programme management office. This will ideally suit a placement student or someone who has just graduated, enabling them to gain varied commercial experience. Supporting the senior PM, you will be responsible for a number of different tasks, please see below:

  • Assisting the Project Management team with the recording & reporting within the Programme Office.
  • Supporting progress reporting including risk / issue / action / dependency management and financial controls in relation to the programme, project or initiative
  • Project related administration and ad-hoc activities to support the wider team company teams


To qualify you must possess:

  • Must have Degree (or be in your placement year), ideally but not limited to Engineering, Manufacture or Business
  • Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Deep experience of Excel (lookups, pivot tables etc.), highly advantageous as you will be generating reports from large data sets
  • Previous project administrative experience, or at least strong reporting experience (ideally within a complex project delivery environment)
  • Good team player and can also work well using initiative
  • Drive and motivation to develop yourself and your career, comfortable  managing your time and working on your own initiative
  • The successful candidate must have strong Excel skills and a strong knowledge of MS Project would be highly beneficial.
