Role Overview

The IT Infrastructure Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of a new automated provisioning platform that will support the next generation of fintech applications.  The successful candidate will engage with a team of talented data scientists, engineers, programmers, architects and analysists to coordinate the development of cutting edge new approaches to infrastructure provisioning.

 

What you will be doing

  • Create complete project schedules including effort estimates and resource requirements
  • Establish project milestones and iterations based on risk and priority
  • Use the best project management processes to ensure efficient project lifecycles
  • Work with other project managers and coordinate project dependencies across functional teams and technical areas
  • Liaise with 3rd party service providers as appropriate
  • Utilize state of the art tools to support project management
  • Actively monitor project progress, track outstanding issues and risks, follow up on action items, and provide timely project status updates to the leadership team
  • Promote IT quality and compliance

 

The knowledge and skills you should bring to this position

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, computer engineering or a related field
  • Project management qualification desirable
  • 5+ years’ overall experience, with a solid foundation in managing large IT projects
  • Strong risk management and IT security skills eg CISA, CISM, CISSP
  • Excellent knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure or IBM
  • Good knowledge of containerisation and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience preferably in the financial sector / payment processing systems
  • Experience managing projects that span large cross-functional teams
  • Experience in working within a regulated environment
