Role Description

New Business Advisor, Business Banking - Area Dublin West

The New Business Advisor role will drive SME growth and market share within the Local Market through a focus on business development, KBI engagement and managing complex deals, with a primary focus on New to Bank customers. The role will have an external focus and build a strong external profile delivering positive business outcomes. The role will ensure sustainable growth by delivering highly compelling propositions and ensuring the customer receives consistently exceptional service and advice.

Key accountabilities for the role are as follows:  

  • Develops and manages relationships with ‘New to Bank’ customers to achieve Sales and Income goals for the Local Market.
  • Develops and grows strong relationships with key stakeholders, KBIs and community leaders in the Local Market to drive new business opportunities with ‘New to Bank’ and existing customers.
  • Thinks innovatively to deliver highly compelling propositions for customers and position as the bank of choice for SME business in the Local Market.
  • Originates, negotiates and executes all deals with New to Bank customers, collaborating with Area New Business Origination team as required to deliver exceptional customer experience and advice.
  • Identifies opportunities to cross-sell housing and personal products in new business engagements, collaborating with relevant internal stakeholders in the Local Market to deliver compelling propositions and exceptional service.
  • Navigates and leverages the full suite of products, tools and services to deliver exceptional customer experience and advice, driving digital adoption and an omni-channel approach.
  • Engages with relevant stakeholders in areas such as Growth Platforms, Direct and the Sector Teams.
  • Provides support and guidance to the wider SME team to help each individual contribute to the success and achievement of Sales and Income goals

What will you need?

  • Strong credit competence and experience
  • Strong knowledge of all SME offerings and an awareness of Personal and Housing product offerings
  • Strong knowledge and experience of SME business banking
  • Strong understanding of the wider industry, local market context and local competitor activity
  • While QFA is preferable, minimum requirement of APA Loans and APA Savings & Investments
