Management Accountant

Cpl are delighted to be recruiting for a Management Accountant on behalf of a leading Co. Down  based company who continue to go from strength to strength. This management Accountant will be tasked with Preparing, developing and analysing key financial information to ensure the management makes well-informed decisions to ensure future stability, growth and profitability. This a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious accountant who wishes to develop their career with a company offering a clear pathway to FC level.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, forecasts, cash flow, variance analysis and analytical commentary
  • Supporting all departments and the management team with robust and timely information to help make financial decisions
  • Monitoring and controlling spending in line with the budget and project constraints
  • Advising on the financial implications and consequences of particular courses of action
  • Analysing financial performance and contributing to medium and long-term business planning/forecasts
  • Offering professional judgement on financial matters so as to impact business performance positively
  • Interpreting, communicating and presenting financial data to non-financial managers
  • Liaising with other function managers to put the expenditure and financial results in context
  • Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems and suggesting improvements where needed
  • Implementing and managing processes for corporate governance, risk management and internal control
  • Development and management of key control mechanisms to ensure continued effectiveness and stability of the group in line with best practice
  • Implementation of agreed recommendations from either internal or external audits

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • At least 2/3 years post qualifying experience
  • Experience of managing appropriate control systems, processes and adherence to reporting deadlines

 

Remuneration

A highly attractive remuneration package C. £35k - £40k along with continued professional development is on offer to the right candidate
