Role Description

Telecomms Support Specialist

This role will actively support infrastructure initiatives in accordance with IT and business strategy. The main emphasis for the role will be to increase system efficiency and to contribute to the design of new technical solutions.

Key elements of infrastructure support within the role include :

WAN, LAN, phone system, switches, firewalls, Jabber, VMWare, Server Builds, Servers, Backup/Replication, IP Monitor, eMail Exchange / Mimecast, Audit Compliance, ISO Accreditation, Hardware setup, Operating Systems and associated solutions / tools support.

The role will also be a point of escalation to support the service delivery team.

The successful candidate will have proven success in the support of complex technical solutions with specific experience in providing systems / telecoms specialist support and will have a 3rd level IT qualification – or relevant business experience.
