Role Description

Your next challenge:
Work alongside their retail branch network and be accountable for your share in the delivery of the mortgage business team objectives by maximising all branch opportunities, local key business influencers and referrals originated from direct phone or website.

  • Work within their Mortgage Business Team to help meet the mortgage and life assurance protection needs of both existing customers as well as prospecting for new customers.
  • To fulfil individual and bank mortgage objectives through tailored advice based conversion of customer enquiries into drawn-down applications.
  • Work to retain their current mortgage customers through reactive and pro-active contact campaigns in line with the banks retention strategy.
  • Facilitate the portfolio of Mortgage customers with support and advice for amending existing facilities to best meet their current needs
  • Deliver on quality customer engagement and positive customer outcomes.
  • High quality client meetings both face to face and over the phone.
  • Complete and update customer fact-finds of all customer contact and ensure all activity is recorded accurately and maintained on the relevant IT systems for MI purposes.
  • Act with professionalism and display an ability to interact pro-actively with customers, branch network, internal stakeholders and the local business community.
  • Deal with customers in a trustworthy and professional manner and recognise the importance of customer confidentiality.
  • Demonstrate a Can Do attitude putting the customer at the heart of all decisions.
  • Manage any complaints in line with agreed regulatory standards and complaints management procedures.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the business environment and be aware of the competition offerings.
  • Demonstrate an ability to establish customer mortgage eligibility, analyse financial information and produce a credit recommendation.
  • Understand and adapt to the changing regulatory requirements within the mortgage industry in line with MMR, MCOB and MCD.
  • To build good working relationships and demonstrate your commitment to the team.
  • Work closely with the Mortgage Sales & Customer Service Teams, Training & Competency Supervisors and Business Underwriters.
  • Ensure application quality is of the highest possible level minimising deferrals and correcting any returned application ready for resubmission within the shortest possible timeframe.
  • Provide regular feedback to their branch network on existing and new business and engage with internal stakeholders to ensure a one overall mortgage team approach putting the customer first.

What youll need:

  • CEMAP Level 1, 2 & 3 Qualified
  • Complete understanding of the mortgage market with 2 years relevant mortgage experience
  • Proven track record in successful mortgage and protection sales
  • Clean Driving Licence
