Payroll Specialist - Ireland & UK
Reporting to the Payroll Manager,  you will be a key member of the Payroll and Group Finance team ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time in compliance with legal, revenue and company requirements. Duties will include:

  • Accurate & efficient processing of monthly payrolls, both in Ireland and UK, in accordance with Revenue, Taxation and internal policy guidelines in each jurisdiction
  • Processing of all payroll-related data on payroll system according to agreed payroll schedule, and revenue and welfare deadlines
  • Audit payroll information to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax guidelines
  • Responding to internal customer requests through internal helpdesk
  • Prepare and process monthly payroll data input to payroll system to a high standard of accuracy
  • Reconcile payroll accounts and reviewing output reports
  • Improve, implement and maintain the payroll processes
  • Update information on payroll master records
  • ALL CSO and Revenue Returns (including P45s, P30s, P35s)
  • Preparation of Control sheets, reporting and reconciliations
  • Conduct payroll system testing to ensure compliance with budget and regulatory changes
  • Drive efficiencies and process improvements
  • Creating & Transmission of bank files for payment
  • Payroll Projects - such as Payroll/HR interface, benefit administration including NI auto enrolment
  • Ad-hoc reporting to Finance & HR
  • Liaising with HR on payroll matters and resolution of payroll related queries

Ideal Candidate

  • 3+ years payroll experience
  • IPASS qualified an advantage
  • Excellent attention to detail, and completes transactions accurately 
  • Can work to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment
  • Highly organised and has ability to multitask
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Dependable, honest and confidential
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Possess the ability to work as part of a team as well as using own initiative and take instruction well
  • An expert knowledge of payroll processes and the accounting for them.
  • A willingness to show flexibility on working hours, especially at peak payroll times
