Role Description

Materials Planner Job in Cookstown

In partnership with our client, CPL is currently seeking a Materials Planner for a company in the Cookstown area.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

Working within the Logistics / Materials department, the Materials Planner will be responsible for:

  • Developing and maintaining a stable production schedule to fulfil customer demand, taking into account available capacities and resource constraints
  • Assisting in the execution of weekly planning cycles
  • Liaising with Production, Quality and Engineering departments to ensure the on time delivery of products
  • Use of Lean techniques through continuous improvement activities to increase customer value
  • Maintaining and implementing best practice in Supply Chain management techniques


Requirements

  • Applicants must meet with the following criteria:
  • Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Studies or other relevant discipline
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills
  • Self starter with ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Display competency in building strong relationships, optimising work processes and planning work to meet organisational goals
